This painting features a small collection of bird of paradise with their namesake bird of paradise plant. Featured are the Red Bird of Paradise making his way up the side of the chinese vase, the Wilson’s Bird of Paradise in the fabulous blue beanie, the King Bird of Paradise with his sad clown makeup and just to be confusing… or maybe more specific… the King of Saxony Bird of Paradise with his, what I can only imagine are really annoying, flowing feather horns.
