We all know that if you have a male bower bird living near you then you are unlikely to have any blue pegs in the peg basket, but what if they collected blue and white crockery! I imagine that rather than just placing them round the front of their bower, what could be more impressive than a tower made with said stolen tea cups? As part of the creative process of preparing for this painting the artist built tea cup towers with whatever she had available, ensuring their stability, therefore it’s effectiveness in impressing any potential mates.
This painting has been shown at Bundaberg Regional Gallery as part of their You, Me and a Cup of Tea Exhibition from the 2nd of February until the 19th March 2017. It has also made a surprise appearance in Country Style magazine, March 2017 edition.
