Well, it is listed on their website in ‘Upcoming Exhibitions’ so it must be real!
A little while ago I was told by Michelle Kludas the Director of Michael Reid at Murrurundi that they had been speaking to a curator from Bundaberg Regional Gallery about having a few of my paintings in a group show early next year. Curated by Zoe Blandford, the theme of the exhibition is You, Me and a Cup of Tea so rather appropriate for my current work… but even still! I am so very excited to be considered for this amazing opportunity to be showing ten of my cheeky birds with tea paraphernalia in such a prestigious Regional Gallery! And in tropical Queensland! Queue happy dance!
Starting on the 2nd February and going through until the 19th March 2017, if you find yourself in sunnier climes, pop in to the Bundaberg Regional Gallery and see my works amongst the talents of Beverley Budgen, Susan Gourley and Kim Schoenberger, together with selected artists from the Bundaberg region, in a celebration of all things tea! Read more about it here.
As this exhibition is so close to the one I was meant to be having at Michael Reid Murrurundi in March, that has been pushed back to May/June 2017… so no rest for the wicked… actually, no time to be wicked at all…
