For the bold and showy superb wren who has a very large presence (and voice) for such a small bird I have selected bold and showy designs for them to perch among. This piece probably has the most stable base of the teapot, for they are often seen and are good at making their presence known, but that doesn’t mean that they are immune to the challenges we all face with climate change.
Painted as part of my contribution to the A Nest in the Hills: The Symbiosis of Women and Birds in Contemporary Australian Art at Mudgee Arts Precinct December 2025 to March 2026.
